Our pieces are sourced locally to be repaired and reimagined into timeless household staples that can be enjoyed for generations to come. We value quality within sustainably sourced materials – a long forgotten practice in an era where fast furniture is made solely for profit. Within our shop, everything that passes through our hands is made with love and built to last. For us, healing these vintage items also means healing the world one piece at a time.

About The Creator
I’ve been an artist my whole life. With the world turning in different directions, I turned my attention to aid in the revitalization of our planet.
I started ‘1 OAK Modern' as a passion project during the pandemic. In the normal world, I'm a singer and musician but for the past few years, my energies had been transformed into more viable means for survival. Putting away my guitar and microphone, I decided to hone a skill I had cultivated in my late teen years – woodworking.
I bought my first table saw when I was 17 so that I could build a soundproof booth for recording my vocals. Fast forward over 10 years later, I created my very first piece – a live-edge dining table with a central herb garden. It sold within a day. This gave me the confidence to recreate hundreds of vintage pieces into well-loved items. Each and every one has been nurtured with love and care.
My purpose is to create and mend things that will withstand the test of time, to save it from destruction by uncovering what was there all along – perfection within all its imperfection.
